Samsung pays Apple the equivalent of $ 539 million

In a patent case dating back to nearly seven years in 2011, a jury found that Samsung is guilty of patent infringement and sentenced the South Korean technology giant to pay Apple a total of 539 million US dollars.

The main part of this damage came to an estimated $ 533,316,606 for Samsung, which violates three patents, a decision that was unanimously passed by the US District Court in San Jose
While Samsung was convicted of infringing on these patents, the trial determined how much money it had to pay Apple.

The case also points to an Apple win and a big loss to Samsung, where the South Korean company will now pay more than $ 339 million. However, Apple has asked for $ 1 billion in compensation, while Samsung says the company should pay only $ 28 million for its competitor.
Apple believes that Samsung should pay all its profits from hardware that infringes patents, where Samsung says it only has to pay compensation for the cost of certain things.
